One helpful tip per day:)

There are many smart people, so why did Einstein stand out? Paul Graham believes his brilliance lay in his constant stream of new ideas:

  1. Between being very smart with no new ideas, and being less smart but always having new ideas, most people would choose the latter;
  2. Beyond intelligence, discovering new ideas requires independent thinking, which is rare;
  3. In fact, writing helps nurture new ideas. Often, it’s not that you have an idea before writing, but that the ideas become clearer as you write.

聪明的人有很多,那么爱因斯坦为什么那么突出?Paul Graham 认为他的闪光点是不断有新点子:

  1. 在很聪明却没有什么新点子,和不那么聪明但一直有新点子,大多数人都会选择后者;
  2. 除了聪明,要发现新点子还需要独立思考,这也是很稀缺的;
  3. 事实上,写作对于新点子的孕育很有帮助。很多时候,你并非有了新点子而写作,而是在写作时,这些点子变得越来越清晰。
