A while ago, I returned to my home country and met a friend who had been promoted to principal, yet he never quit teaching. Despite holding administrative roles over the years, he insisted on teaching, even if it was just one class. Sam Altman also agrees with this practice:
- True value is created through hands-on experience;
- It's essential to identify what truly matters and work towards that;
- It’s incredibly difficult to stay committed, which is why so few people manage to do so;
- The direction of your efforts is closely tied to your standards of measurement, which is why finding the right metrics is crucial;
- Sam doesn't think writing a blog is that important, but he believes writing itself is, and blogging is a way to practice. Plus, blogging has helped him connect with many like-minded individuals.

前阵子回国，见到一位朋友升任校长，当他一直没有脱离讲堂。尽管这些年都有行政职务在身，当他一直坚持教学，哪怕只教一个班。Sam Altman 也同意这样的实践：
- 真正的价值是有实践创造的；
- 重要的是搞清楚什么才是重要的事，然后朝着这一方向努力；
- 坚持努力其实非常困难，所以能坚持下来的人很少；
- 你努力的方向其实和你的衡量标准密切相关，这也是为什么找到衡量标准很重要；

年初回国的时候，见了一圈朋友，和其中的一些朋友进行了深入对话；最近回国又依法炮制了一次，见了一圈朋友，又进行了一些深度对话。 DPS 周刊 132 - 十一场深度对话最近在上海度过了一个充实的长周末，四天时间内见了十一位朋友，进行了十一场深度对话。自从去年在清迈旅行时，在10天时间内每天和不同的陌生人吃饭。这回在上海复刻类似的经历，所以这十一位朋友大部分都是新认识的朋友。这十一场对话带给我很多启发。所以聊完之后，随手做了一些笔记。 1. 关于人生选择 桌上有许多牌，如何决策取决于你自己的经历和条件。当然所有决策都伴随着权衡，所以决策的实质是基于当下的条件做出权衡。 决策没有对错之分，只要你能承受后果或者承担对应的风险。当你做出选择时，你是基于当时的情况做出的权衡，那将是局部最优解，或者当下最优解。 当你做出决策时，你需要评估你是否能承受所对应的最坏情况。如果可以承受，即使今后看来不是最优解，也不需要后悔，因为那时当下最优解。 年轻时，桌上有更多的牌可供选择；随着年龄增长，可用的牌变少，但你也可能会得到不同的牌。 给自己更多的时间和空间，不要急于求成。只要你有一个方向，并且持续朝着它努
