For instance, hotel executives might decide to cut cleaning staff, resulting in unprepared rooms for guests, yet accountability is nowhere to be found;
- The essence of an accountability sink lies in a broken feedback loop, where the feedback from those affected does not influence the system's operation;
- An individual's ability to make impactful changes in decisions is directly proportional to their level of accountability;
- Accountability requires not only the power to make changes but also an understanding of the decision-making context to locate the feedback loop.
