Daily Productive Sharing 1191 - Don’t Batch Process Everything
One helpful tip per day:)
An important productivity tip is batching—grouping similar tasks together and completing them in one session. However, Herbert Lui suggests that batching shouldn't be applied to everything:
- The advantage of batching is that it reduces distractions, making it easier to enter a focused state.
- However, batching also has drawbacks: it can sometimes be rigid and limit flexibility.
- Today's writing makes tomorrow's writing easier, and because he doesn't batch everything, it allows for greater flexibility and adaptability.
- While batching reduces distractions, it might limit flexibility in scheduling.
- Not batching every task provides elasticity in daily planning, making it easier to sustain productivity over time.
