Dan Koe shares his strategy for focusing on personal goals throughout the day by structuring life into intentional cycles of growth:
- You need a period of intense focus to push yourself to a new baseline.
 - Progress is not linear.
 - The first phase is the Confusion Phase—a time of feeling lost and uncertain.
 - The second is the Curiosity Phase, where your job is to try everything and see what works.
 - The third is the Explosive Phase—3 to 6 months of deep flow, where you’re fully immersed in achieving a meaningful goal.
 - The fourth is the Sustainability Phase—spend 4 focused hours a day on top-priority tasks. This lets you maintain your new baseline while experimenting for the next explosive period.
 - When you reach a new baseline, slow down intentionally to preserve your progress.
 - Without the earlier cycles, there’s nothing to sustain—consistency only works if you’ve already built something worth continuing.
 - Focus means removing everything that gets in the way of focus.
 - Most people forget: they do have control over their environment.
 - You feel lost because you don’t know what to do right now.
