When Ted Lamade was a young man, he joined an American football team. He chose quarterback -- the most sought-after position in football -- the first day he joined, even though he had never played football. The coach agreed, because no one on the team wanted to play quarterback. Later in the game, the team kept losing, but the experience taught him an important lesson:
- to be able to afford to lose. That only in defeat can one see the true nature of people.
- millennials and Gen Z have not gone through a major economic crisis, and the current major layoffs in the tech industry may be the biggest test for them. Maybe after going through it, they will grow a lot.
