One helpful tip per day:)

Casey Newton reflected on his experience using note-taking software over recent years and outlined his expectations:

Current note-taking tools can only help us record information, but they do not assist us in thinking.

The more we record without converting these notes into useful thoughts, the more they become burdensome to us.

With increasing distractions in our current environment, long periods of deep thinking are increasingly valuable. A tool that could help us achieve this would be highly beneficial.

AI advancements have the potential to solve the aforementioned issues, but such an AI tool has not yet emerged. This is a possible direction for future development.

Casey Newton 回顾了近几年使用笔记软件的历程,提出了自己的期望:

  1. 目前的笔记工具只能帮助我们记录,但是无法帮助我们思考;
  2. 记录得越多,无法转化为有用的思考,对于我们来说就是累赘;
  3. 当下的干扰越来越多,所以长时间的深度思考尤为珍贵,如果有一个工具可以帮助我们达成这一目标将非常有帮助;
  4. AI 的进步有可能帮助我们解决以上问题,不过这样的 AI 工具还没出现,这是一个可能的发展发向。
